"ROAR" VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL 2019

July 15-19, 2019
9:00 am-12:00 pm

This epic African adventure engages the whole herd. At Roar, kids explore God’s goodness and celebrate a ferocious faith that powers them through this wild life.

Registration is now open for ages 4 years-5th grade graduates. Register by July 1 to receive a free t-shirt. Many volunteers are also needed.

Join with other local youth groups at Harbert Community Church on Thursday (6:30-8:30 pm) to kick off the weekend. Come back on Friday morning (8:30 am) to work on service projects in area communities and spend the night. More service projects on Saturday and end in the afternoon. Cost is $10. Each family is encouraged to pick up a baby bottle from the lobby or fellowship hall to fill with loose change, bills or checks made out to LifePlan (formerly Niles Pregnancy Care Center). Return full bottles to the church office by June 9.

Join us for this fundraiser for the youth summer mission trip with Big Creek Missions in Bear Branch, Kentucky.

— Are you famous for your soup, chili, or dessert? Then we need you! Sign up at the Welcome Center to enter the cook-off or to let us know you’re coming to eat. One winner for each category. If you don’t cook, come and eat. Vote for your favorite ($1 per vote).

— We also need items for the Silent Auction. We are looking for students to donate services and adults to donate items.

God has allowed our church to grow this past year so we are going to add a second service to make room for more! Join us in prayer and preparation as we get ready to launch our new service times beginning March 3 – two identical services at 9:15 am & 11:00 am.

Two Service Schedule
starting March 3, 2019

With the upcoming change to two services, we wanted to let you know what to expect regarding the schedule. Worship Service and Adult Bible Fellowship opportunities will be the same for both hours.

 *Teachers will be in class at the start of each service. Kids can attend the beginning of the service with their family and be dismissed before the sermon, or they can start in the classroom.

 +One Adult Bible Fellowship will be offered each service in Room 311. We may expand to multiple classes in the future based upon the availability of teachers and attendees.

YOUTH WINTER RETREAT (7th-12th Grade)

WHAT:       2019 Winter Retreat

WHERE:     Spring Hill Camp (Evart, MI)

WHEN:       February 22-24, 2019

WHO:         7th-12th grade Students

COST:         $150/person

Your students are invited to join us for a weekend winter retreat Friday, February 22 – Sunday, February 24, 2019.  Details on the exact time of departure on Friday and return on Sunday will be provided later.  For now, we need to know who is interested in attending so we can book the right number of rooms!

The cost for this trip, which includes transportation, food, and all activities for the weekend is $150/person. 

To hold your spot on the trip, we are asking for a $50 non-refundable deposit due by Sunday, November 25.
